MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A judge denied a change of venue for a federally indicted Memphis gynecologist on Wednesday.

Dr. Sanjeev Kumar faces four counts of Enticement and Inducement to Travel to Engage in Illegal Sex Acts, 11 counts of Adulteration of Single-Use Devices, nine counts of Misbranding of Reprocessed Single-Use Devices, two counts of Adulteration of Hysteroscopes Cleared for Reprocessing, and nine counts of Health Care Fraud. Prosecutors alleged that Kumar performed unnecessary hysteroscopies, sometimes reusing single-use medical devices.
