Jimmy Thelin has jumped to a passionate defence of Sivert Nilsen and insisted he shows every day that he is still one of Aberdeen ’s top midfielders. ‌

The veteran Norwegian - who was part of the Scottish Cup-winning squad - has come in for some heavy criticism from his own fans, as Aberdeen have struggled to click into gear so far this season. ‌
