COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Two suspects have been arrested following a multi-county operation in Muscogee and Coweta counties.

According to the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, the CCSO conducted a traffic stop on September 17, which resulted in the seizure of 34lbs of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $154,220.

Desmond Sams and Kiera Sams were charged with Trafficking Marijuana and transported to the Coweta County Jail without incident.

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Collaborative Intelligence Group, along with the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit, then conducted several search warrants in Muscogee County.

Officials report that the search warrants resulted in the removal of a large amount of marijuana, along with 2 firearms.
