LEXINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) -- A Lexington man was arrested as police investigate an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile.
Jonathan V. Murray, 34, has been arrested on charges including multiple counts of predatory criminal sexual assault with a victim under 13, according to a release from the Lexington Police Department.
On May 28, the police department received a report that an adult man was having inappropriate relations with a juvenile girl.
The Lexington Police Department worked with the McLean County State's Attorney's Office and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to investigate the allegations.
As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Murray. He was taken into custody on Sept. 18 and processed into the McLean County jail.
