A woman accused of killing her grandmother has been arrested, Prince George’s County police said.

Breante Thomas, 28, was found in Waldorf, Maryland, Thursday afternoon by the department’s fugitive unit, after police said she stabbed Helen Thomas, 81, and fled from her grandmother’s Fort Washington, Maryland, home in a white 2012 Volkswagen Passat on Sunday.

When investigators responded to the scene around 1:50 p.m. Sunday, police documents show, they found Helen Thomas by the front door with a stab wound. She was pronounced dead on the scene and taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.

A second stabbing victim in critical condition was taken to a hospital but was later flown to a shock trauma center in Baltimore, police said, where he was treated for his injuries
