LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced signing letters of intent with a Taiwan agricultural association that is expected to bring billions of dollars into the state and country.

The governor said she signed two letters of intent for the association to purchase U.S. and Arkansas agricultural products for $5.56 billion between 2026 and 2029.

The Taiwan Feed Industry Association intends to purchase seven-and-a-half million metric tons of corn and one million metric tons of corn products, valued at approximately $2.12 billion, officials said. Additionally, the Taiwan Vegetable Oil Manufacturers Association has committed to purchasing at least 6.5 metric tons of soybeans, with an estimated value of at least $3.44 billion.
