The Algorithmic Accountability Act of 2025 addresses what its sponsors say is the growing threat of automated decision systems making high-impact decisions that affect human services. The bill would provide greater levels of transparency and accountability for the ways in which companies use AI systems in the decision-making processes for housing, employment, credit, education and other purposes.
