ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - A former Panthers defensive end was arrested last Friday, just days before he signed with a new team.

Records showed 32-year-old Jadeveon Clowney was charged with trespassing and failure to identify. He was apprehended on Friday, Sept. 12, two days before signing with the Dallas Cowboys .

What happened

The encounter reportedly occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, at the Dunbar Place Apartments, located off Constitution Boulevard in Rock Hill.

According to the incident report, an officer had been assigned to prevent nonresidents from parking in the apartment complex during a high school football game across the street.
