HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- Dozens in Harrisburg laced up for a good cause on Friday.
People from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency and Children's Advocacy Centers walked from City Island to the State Capitol for the 2025 Shine Walk. The goal is to shine a light on child abuse prevention and healing.

"We're really here to bring attention to the issue of child sexual abuse," said Chris Kirchner, executive director for Children's Advocacy Centers of Pennsylvania. "It often hides in the shadows and people aren't comfortable talking about it, but our programs across the state see what can happen to kids when they're abused, so we're here to bring hope and healing."
