Authorities Friday released the name of a man who died when a box truck caught fire after being rear-ended by a Tesla that was possibly involved in street racing or road rage.

The crash was reported about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at Seventh Street and Margo Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Officers arrived at the scene to find Long Beach Fire Department personnel working to free a man, later identified by the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner as Jose Cesena, trapped inside a 2017 Mitsubishi Fuso box truck.
