The 18 months of construction followed years of design work and represent the most significant renovation in the 95-year history of the Cotton Bowl.

For any fan who has climbed the steps to the main gate on the west side of the Cotton Bowl, facing the State Fair of Texas midway, the entry has a whole new look and feel.

Overland International, the design and architecture firm overseeing the $140 million renovation of the Cotton Bowl, walked reporters through a wider main concourse on Friday.

In addition, there are now 14 escalators to ferry fans up and down the two-deck stadium at Fair Park, along with new elevators.

Fans will also see more modern concession offerings, along with newly expanded restrooms.
