A teenager will face court next month following an alleged police pursuit through Lake Macquarie this week.
Officers were patrolling Cadaga Road, Gateshead, about 2.20am on Friday 19 September when they attempted to stop a Toyota Kluger.
When the driver failed to obey the directive, a chase was initiated.
It continued to Gari Street, Charlestown, where the SUV allegedly collided with a police vehicle before it proceeded towards Warners Bay Road.
The pursuit ended when the driver stopped the Toyota at a unit block on Darcy Street, Cardiff.
OC spray was deployed to effect the arrest of the person behind the wheel, a 17-year-old boy, who was then taken to Belmont Police Station.
