PeaceHealth plans to sell 50 acres of undeveloped residential property behind Springfield’s Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend .

In a Sept. 19 press release, the medical provider indicated the sale of the property, which is zoned medium-density residential, will be managed by real estate services provider Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., headquartered in Chicago.

Dr. Jim McGovern, chief hospital executive for the PeaceHealth Oregon Network, said the sale comes at a time when Oregon is working to expand housing production goals.
