EUGENE, Ore. - The City of Eugene is taking a closer look at the minds of Eugenians through the lens of a recent community survey.

The survey is the latest since a 2022 survey, which was the first conducted since 2010.

"We had had a gap there and so it was an opportunity to really kind of tune back in at the broader level as to what was kind of on the community's mind and their priorities," said policy analyst Jason Dedrick, who broke down the survey results to city council during a September 10th work session.

Dedrick says a lot of themes from the 2022 survey carried over into 2025's.

"Homelessness is emerging a bit more as the dominant issue," Dedrick explained to city councilors. "59% of our respondents said we're headed in the wrong direction on the issue of homelessness. That's up
