MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Police say an argument between two men ended with one of them pulling out a shotgun and opening fire.

It happened Thursday night at Wells Avenue and Telly Street in North Memphis. No one was hurt, but Jerry Reed, 62, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

The victim told police he got into a disagreement with Reed, and Reed began hitting him with a walking cane. The victim said he was able to block the strikes, and that's when Reed pulled a handgun from his back waist area and used it to hit him on the head.

The victim said he was able to get the handgun from Reed, but Reed ran to a green van, grabbed a shotgun, and fired four shots at him as he was running away.

Police said they recovered a 40 caliber handgun, the victim said he took from Reed.
