LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Bezos Academy opened new Montessori-inspired preschools Friday in Louisville’s Russell, Fairdale, and Okolona neighborhoods, offering free, full-day early learning starting at age three.

The network says the schools will collectively serve about 280 students each year, with a fourth location planned for Riverport in 2026.

Local and state leaders joined families for a ribbon-cutting at the Russell campus, including Mayor Craig Greenberg and Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman.

“I think every child in Kentucky deserves access to pre-K because of the way it will change the trajectory of their lives,” Coleman said.
