EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — After 12 years of Brave Barbie being the solo star of Mattel's heartwarming initiative to create toys specifically for kids undergoing medical treatment, Ken is stepping up to join the fight.

The toy company announced its first-ever Brave Ken doll, expanding a program that has distributed dolls to children facing cancer and autoimmune diseases since 2013.

Brave Barbie are special dolls exclusively given to children battling cancer and autoimmune diseases. More than 120,000 dolls that have found their way to kids who needed a reminder that they're "brave, strong, and beautiful."

Brave Barbie and Brave Ken aim to help kids in treatment feel represented. They come with an arsenal of accessories like headphones, hats, headbands, rooted wigs, and customizable stickers.
