WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (WMC) - A man in Arkansas witnessed a turbulent traffic stop this week that many hope to never experience.

Michael Schulkins thought he was about to be pulled over on Wednesday, only to realize he was the last thing on the police’s mind.

Schulkins was on his way to Memphis from Illinois, preparing to pass the Hernando de Soto bridge, when a state trooper pulled up behind him. Though he wasn’t speeding, Schulkins was preparing for a potential ticket when a Blue Mustang whizzed past him.

It only took a few seconds for him to realize that it was the state trooper’s target.

“The cop immediately pulled out to the side and went after him, and almost right away, the cop just side swiped the back of his car and just sent it spinning into the guardrail,” he said.
