OAKRIDGE, Ore. - The Rocky Mountain Complex Incident Management Team 1 has taken over management of the Emigrant Fire, now burning 32,321 acres at 41% containment, and is collaborating closely with agency partners.

Incident management officials said that firefighters are making progress as favorable weather conditions help secure fire lines and patrol for heat along the fire's perimeter. In Divisions A and D, crews are patrolling and mopping up hot spots near completed fire lines, utilizing Forest Service Road 21 as a primary control line. On the east side, Division F crews are improving access to a small lightning-caused fire within containment lines.
