MONROE, La. (KNOE) - If you were out before sunrise Friday morning, you probably caught a sight of the planet Venus and the crescent moon close together in the sky. This sight grabbed the attention of KNOE viewers from across the ArkLaMiss.
Mary Lou Hale shared a picture of what she saw with the KNOE Weather Team. The picture is shown above, with the crescent moon just to the lower left of Venus.
There will be a few more chances to see Venus and the crescent moon, but the moon will move farther away from Venus over the next few days, and eventually turn into a new moon.
