WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Vermont Flannel Co. has unveiled a new flannel pattern exclusive to The Big E, inspired by the historic Gilbert Farmstead at Storrowton Village Museum.
The Gilbert Farmstead, built in 1794 by brothers Levi and Peletiah Gilbert in West Brookfield, Mass., serves as the muse for the new pattern.
The farmhouse is noted for its colonial color scheme and rich history, having been reconstructed in 1927 as part of the Eastern States Exposition's Storrowton Village Museum.
"Last fall, I did an impromptu photo shoot at Storrowton Village Museum," explained Michelle Vincent, director of merchandising and branding strategy at The Vermont Flannel Co. "As we were leaving, I snapped a quick photo of [our model] in front of the building, and the colors were stunning
