JOHNNY Depp’s new rescue dog mauled two sheep to death after running amok in a field.

The bullmastiff — named Bourbon — broke loose during a walk before attacking the grazing animals, leaving the farmer “furious”.

A close source said Depp, 62 , has since hired a dog trainer with “all extra precautions in place” to ensure there is no repeat.

Farmer Joe Ginger confirmed to The Sun his sheep had been attacked.

He said: “I take my work and my sheep very seriously, it is my business . It is a serious matter.”

A member of Depp’s staff was said to be walking Bourbon when the dog broke free and ran at the sheep, near where the Pirates of the Caribbean star rents a mansion in rural East Sussex .
