BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A Vermont family is trying to stop suicide following their son’s death.
A.J. Holzscheiter was a star athlete and seemed to have it all. But in 2018, the 18-year-old at BFA St. Albans took his own life.
His family channeled their grief into a music festival called Afterglow, which features bands, food trucks, breweries, and wineries, plus tons of kids’ activities.
Proceeds raised go to suicide prevention. It takes place on Saturday at Hard’ack Hill in St. Albans.
It’s $35 to get in. So far, afterglow has given more than $400,000 to organizations since it began in 2019.
