Lauren Goldsworthy scored twice, and goalie Hailey Hansen made 30 saves Friday to lead Minnesota State to a 3-0 women's hockey non-conference victory over RPI in the season-opener for both teams at Houston Field House.

Goldsworthy scored a power-play goal with 5:24 left in the first period to give the Mavericks a 1-0 lead. She scored an empty-net goal with 1:48 left in the game. Zoe Lopez added an empty-netter.
