CLEVELAND — Body camera video is shedding new light on the recent shooting of a suspect at Case Western Reserve University by an Ohio state trooper.
The footage follows the entire encounter, starting with an attempted traffic stop and ending with shots fired near the edge of campus.
The incident began when Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers tried to stop a black Kia on Woodland Avenue for not having a license plate. The driver — later identified as Leon Terrell — refused to pull over, weaving through intersections and briefly going the wrong way. An OSHP helicopter followed the vehicle through the traffic.
