Eleanor Jean Brzozowski DiProsperis, a beloved mother, nana, friend and dedicated nurse, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, with her daughter, Lisa Brooks, by her side, at Transitions Healthcare in Washington, PA. She was 84 years old.

Born on April 16, 1941, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Eleanor devoted her life to the care and well-being of others. Eleanor graduated from Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing where she was chosen as Student Nurse of the Year. This undoubtedly set the trajectory for her long illustrious career. Eleanor earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Liberty State College and later graduated from WVU with her Masters, along with her daughter, Lisa, a first mother-daughter for WVU.
