INDIANAPOLIS — People got the chance to shop works from local artists and vendors at a pop-up market in downtown Indianapolis Friday.

It's part of an ongoing effort by the Athenaeum Foundation to put on arts and culture programming.

They hosted the market at Coat Check Coffee at the Athenaeum, 401 East Michigan Street.

Athenaeum Foundation President Craig Mince said the event is a win for everyone involved.

"The shoppers love it," said Mince. "A lot of these vendors you'll see here and there, but to see them all in one place is really cool. The vendors love it because the traffic, the eyeballs on their product, the purchases, a lot of people have never seen their stuff before, so it's really just a nice dynamic."
