LIZTON, Ind. — Jack Sorgi tossed three touchdowns and threw for over 240 yards as Tri-West held off Danville for a 35-27 home victory on Friday night.
After losing their opening two games to start the season, the Danville Warriors came into the game on the heels of back-to-back victories looking for another. Meanwhile, Tri-West needed a big victory in order to prove the doubters wrong and solidify themselves as one of the top teams in the state.
The Warriors struck first when senior Minh Vu scored on a 5-yard rushing touchdown. Then the Bruins evened the score when Sorgi found senior tight end Eli Morgan for a 12-yard touchdown pass.
The two teams finished out the first quarter tied at 7. As the second quarter began, Sorgi went to the air again and connected with junior wide receiver
