The 37th edition of Cinefest runs Sept. 13-21 at SilverCity in Sudbury. The full schedule of films can be viewed at tinyurl.com/yssjub9h. Today’s gala film is Amour apocalypse (Peak Everything).
How Cinefest describes the film:
Adam is 45 and owns a kennel. He is a deeply kind and generous man. Through the technical support line for a light therapy lamp he has recently purchased to improve his mental health and manage his hypersensitivity, he meets Tina, a radiant woman with a soft voice. From that moment on, everything is turned upside down: comets fall from the sky, dogs are freed, tires are slashed. The Earth trembles and hearts explode. They are in love.
