LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A Las Vegas family wants answers after their loved one's skeletal remains were identified two years after he disappeared.

"I just kept saying," Mika Martin said. "I couldn't believe it was my dad."

Martin shared the chilling story that many would have to hear to believe.

"It's just so weird," Martin added. "Especially when we have no answers at all."

Martin and Michelle Barsalona shared more with 8 News Now about their loved one, John Carl Martin: his disappearance, and eventual death.

In July 2023, John Martin was checked into Summerlin Hospital for a medical procedure, according to Barselona.

However, before it could happen, he left against medical advice, she said.
