Three area law enforcement leaders said Friday that the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2000 McGirt decision and cases it triggered continue to cause problems for them.

“You tend to live in a state of confusion,” said Broken Arrow Police Chief Lance Arnold, whose jurisdiction straddles two state judicial districts and two federal judicial districts and lies completely within the Muscogee Nation.

Arnold, Tulsa County Sheriff Vic Regalado and Jenks Police Chief Jason Jackson spoke at the Tulsa Republican Club on a range of issues, including the practical effect of the McGirt ruling.
