On Sept. 12, former Frederick Singles Inc. founder and president Ronnie Osterman proudly presented the 36th FCC Scholarship for a child of a single parent to Nicole Achugo, who graduated from Frederick High School in June.

Achugo had a diverse upbringing from living in different countries around the world and experienced different health care practices where her mother was a doctor. Therefore, Achugo wants to pursue a career in nursing and make a difference by providing compassionate health care in underprivileged places.
