Del Valle remained unbeaten with a 21-16 win vs. Canutillo on Friday night at Del Valle High School in a game delayed nearly two hours by lightning.

Del Valle led 14-3 at halftime behind touchdown rus by quarterback Jake Fette and runnung back Dante Eytcheson.

Canutillo countered with a 23-yard field goal but a fumble deep in Del Valle territory negated another possible score.

Canutillo had a chance to win the game and drove to the Canutillo 27 but was stopped on downs with under two minutes left in the game. Del Valle then ran out the remaining time.

Del Valle improves to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in District 1-5A, Division 2, Canutillo falls to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in district.
