PLEASANT VALLEY – The Pleasant Valley Raiders built a three-score lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 48-7 Class 2A, Region 7 football win over visiting Sand Rock on Friday night.
Alec Ashley led the Wildcats (1-4, 1-2) by completing 12-of-30 pass attempts for 116 yards. He also scored Sand Rock’s lone touchdown on an 8-yard run in the second quarter.
Braxton Salster went 8-of-9 passing for 92 yards and two touchdowns for Pleasant Valley (4-1, 1-1). Kayden Vick had eight carries for 112 yards and a score.
Sand Rock hosts Collinsville on Friday.
