HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii’s Marcus Mariota will start for the Washington Commanders against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Heisman Trophy winner and Saint Louis alum will step in for starting QB Jayden Daniels, who was ruled out for Sunday’s game as he nurses a knee injury.
Mariota appeared in three games last season for Washington.
This is his first start since late in the 2022 season, when he was still with the Atlanta Falcons.
Mariota is now in his 11th year in the NFL.
