NEW DELHI: Reinforcing its commitment to public welfare, the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has expanded and modernized its ambulance services, making them a lifeline for patients across the state.
In July 2024, CM Mann flagged off 58 high-tech, GPS-equipped ambulances, followed by another 46 ambulances in June 2025. With these additions, Punjab now operates a total of 371 government ambulances—ensuring availability in every district and town.
The state has also introduced a strict response protocol: ambulances must reach patients within 15 minutes in cities and 20 minutes in rural areas.
