NY weather: Beach hazards statement affecting Orleans County until early Saturday evening

On Saturday at 3:44 a.m. a beach hazards statement was issued by the National Weather Service valid between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. for Orleans County.

The weather service comments, "Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions expected."

"Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions," states the weather service. "Stay out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions."
