FAIRMONT — The United Mine Workers of America are searching for family members related to victims of the Farmington No. 9 mine disaster so they can attend the premier of a new documentary about the tragedy.

“[We’re giving] them the first opportunity to view the documentary, since their lives were forever changed by the tragedy,” Chad Francis, UMWA international representative, said. “Their presence reminds us that every safety regulation is written in the blood of miners and their families.”
