A recent study from Apiary Inspectors of America has found that about 39% percent of the bee hives in Tennessee have vanished.

Although there are a few main contributors to this, Owner and CEO of Lewis Beekeeping & Apiaries Noah Lewis says beekeepers are still stumped.

After only being able to make one frame of honey and receiving 110 less swarm calls this year alone, Lewis noticed something was off.

"I've gotten a ton of calls for people asking for honey. Since I lost 75% of my colonies, and I'm down to one now, I have no honey. On top of that, they're not making honey now, which makes no sense to us. This has been a really strange year," Lewis expresses.
