A couple from Stockport have vowed never to fly with Ryanair again after a 'nightmare' experience on their return flight from Faro Airport in Portugal to Manchester on Tuesday night (16 September). The pair were scheduled to depart at 10pm, but found themselves 'standing on the tarmac' while the plane underwent inspection.
"We were made to stand there with no information at all, for nearly an hour, like sheep, with nobody telling us anything," one of them said.
Just past midnight, the pilot announced that due to a fault with the plane, they were 'really sorry but the flight was cancelled'. He assured passengers that Ryanair would provide hotels and refreshments and instructed everyone to return to the gate.
