East Toledo resident Bill Waganfeald has lived in the Garfield neighborhood his entire life.
While he thinks the east side gets a bad reputation, the longtime homeowner said he’s lately seen movement in the right direction.
“There are some houses that need a lot of work and some that need to be torn down, but I’m starting to see more home improvements,” he said.
Mr. Waganfeald spoke to The Blade at his Mott Avenue home that was built in 1892.
Behind his residence, a house just recently sold. Across the street, another house is getting a new roof, windows, and siding.
