Sausages are being withdrawn from supermarket shelves over concerns that they could cause a serious allergic reaction in certain consumers who consume them.
The Jolly Hog is urgently withdrawing its Leek Porkers sausages from Sainsbury's , Waitrose and Morrisons after an alert by the Food Standards Agency (FSA). The company stated that the notice had been released becuase the products contain milk which is not listed on the packaging.
The FSA explained this makes the product a "possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents."
