James Walker, 35, of Enterprise is sentenced to 43 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to his role in a conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, Acting U.S. Attorney Kevin Davidson said Tuesday.
Walker was sentenced in federal court Tuesday after pleading guilty June 4 to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl. His arrest was a result of a Federal Bureau of Investigation and United States Postal Inspection Service investigation that began in March 2023 into a drug-trafficking network moving fentanyl from California to Alabama.
Davidson said that through out 2023 and 2024, federal agents intercepted several packages containing counterfeit pills made to resemble oxycodone tablets. Laboratory testing confirmed that the pills contained fentanyl, a highly
