CROWN POINT- Chris Pappas of the Meraki Restaurant Group didn't plan it this way, but he's been coordinating multiple projects — openings, reopenings and brand updates — in quick succession.

The Meraki Group took over the popular Lighthouse in Cedar Lake last month, and by the end of next year, the Crown Point square could feature up to four of Pappas' restaurants, including the Grand Catering, Ramen District, Parisi's, and Provecho.

The latter is set to reopen in early November, following a kitchen fire earlier in the summer.

Although nobody was hurt at the time, the unlucky diners who had their meals interrupted will be among the first allowed back inside, getting a redo so they can experience the remodeled restaurant fire-free, Pappas said.
