A huge festive German celebration will sprawl over Courthouse Square beginning this weekend, inviting residents to drink beer and eat bratwurst for Redwood City’s return of Oktoberfest.
The city center will become reminiscent of a small German town, celebrating the traditional festival with family-style bench seating, vibrant dance performances and commemorative stein glasses.
“It’s always one of the best times of the year and we see so many people come out to enjoy such a fun event,” Brandon Council, special events coordinator for the city’s Parks and Recreation department, said.
The popularity of the festival has only grown over the years and as demand continues, the city will be hosting a total of 12 seatings over nine days in hopes of allowing all those who are interested to come ou
