Ange Postecoglou claimed his first point as head coach as Nottingham Forest had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Burnley.

After successive defeats since his appointment last week, Postecoglou was under no illusion about the importance of the game in Lancashire. But he had put its significance down to the Reds’ need to stop their losing streak rather than to take any pressure off himself.

Forest were without defender Murillo against the Clarets as the Brazilian was ruled out with a knock picked up in their 3-0 loss at Arsenal. Nevertheless, they got off to the perfect start courtesy of Neco Williams rifling the ball in from a corner
