BEREA — The Browns aren't making an emergency change at kicker a day before they play the Green Bay Packers.
Kicker Andre Szmyt was cleared to kick for the game after undergoing tests on a calf injury.
Szmyt suffered the injury to the calf on his left leg on Sept. 19, which would be his plant leg when he kicks. Coach Kevin Stefanski said after practice the kicker "felt something," but that the cause of the injury was “nothing notable." Buy Cleveland Browns tickets
Szmyt underwent an MRI on the calf that came back clear. He was one of four players, along with left guard Joel Bitonio (back), right tackle Jack Conklin (elbow) and return specialist DeAndre Carter (concussion), to be listed as questionable on the initial game status report, while defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. (knee) was r
