Police are investigating after an abandoned cinema in Fife was deliberately set on fire yesterday . ‌

Emergency crews raced to the blaze at the premises on Bank Street in Lochgelly after receiving the alarm at around 1.25pm on Friday, September 19. ‌

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched five fire engines, with the flames eventually extinguished. There were no reports of any injuries . ‌

Shocking video footage shows the inferno ravaging the derelict building. Thick plumes of smoke, which can be seen from across the region, were filmed spilling into the sky.

Aerial view images show the roof of the building completely destroyed while the fire guts the interior. ‌
