LOWELLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) - Every Friday, a group of nuns hits the links at Knoll Run Golf Course. This weekend, one of those golfers turns 105.

On Sunday, Sept. 21, Sister René Parman turns 105 years old. She's celebrating the same way she has for decades - with a round of golf. Her fellow sisters from Humility of Mary are with her.

"I think it helps you to know yourself. I do, really, anyway. And competing with yourself, mostly. I think that's a fact. They're very helpful. It's a wonderful place to be -- very meditative. It's a beautiful place -- grass, flowers and it's quiet," said Sister René.

Sister René began the process of becoming a nun right out of high school when she was 18. She then spent many years teaching in schools across northeast Ohio. Then, in her 40s, she went to her
