BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - It has been a sunny and dry start to the day.

Temperatures started in the 60s, but we are warming up rapidly into the mid to upper 80s shortly before noon. It is going to be a hot afternoon. High temperatures are forecast to warm into the mid 90s this afternoon with a partly cloudy sky. Winds are forecast to come from the northwest today at 5 to 10mph.

An isolated shower or storm is possible today, but I don’t think we’ll see as much coverage as we did yesterday. Just remember to take shelter inside if you hear thunder or see lightning. If you have any evening plans, we will likely remain partly cloudy with temperatures cooling off into the low to mid 80s by 7 p.m. with mostly dry conditions.
